The assault caused the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
